Assignment 6: Colorizing a photo

Using a photo that you take against a black background, colorize it using either an analogous color scheme OR a complementary color scheme. If you need to refer back to the rainbow light painting effect tutorial we did in class, you can find it at: http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/photo-effects/surprisingly-easy-rainbow-light-painting-effect.html

Please keep in mind that while the tutorial shows how to colorize a photo, I am NOT looking for a rainbow color effect in the final project. You'll need to adapt the steps in the tutorial so you can combine it with what you know about color theory.

Post your completed work here, and identify it as either an analogous or complementary color scheme.

grading: 3 points total.

1 point: proper identification of either an analogous or complementary color scheme
1 point: thoughtful application of the colors. (If you just did random stripes of color across the photo without any thought to the composition below it, you won't get full credit.)
1 point: composition. (Even though this project is about color theory, you should be in the habit of making all your photos interesting.)
