Combine elements of two separate photos to make a collage. Reply to this thread with a post that includes your photo.

You will need to:

1. Use two photos. I prefer if you shoot them yourself, but for this assignment I will also accept source photos from morguefile. (Do not use images you find from google, as you do not have the rights to use those images.)

2. Using photoshop, combine parts of one image with parts of the other.

3. Post the image to the forum. Use a jpg format for photos, ...

The rules for this project are very rigid because I want to make sure you have control over the pen tool. You may NOT use the brush tool or the eraser tool for this assignment - it must only be done with the pen tool. You will post your image as a reply to this thread - but also save the photoshop file with the layers. If I have a question about ...

2. Use the eye dropper to match colors.

3. Don't use the brush tool, pencil tool or eraser. ONLY use the pen tool for this assignment.

Notice that this is more complex than a large X through the middle of each repeating square - and shapes interlock across the edges of each square. This is a design challenge. (I know you can fill in ...

Now that we’ve played around with how to make a pattern fill, the next assignment is to use it in a creative way in a graphics project. You can draw the image entirely in photoshop, use your own photos, or use a combination of the two.

Here’s a great example from http://www.anna-om-line.com/english.htm :

Grading: 5 points total

2 points: incorporation of pattern in a creative way that complements the picture

2 points: composition/color
