Assignment 12: Flash animation
Using Flash, create a short animation. To post these to the forum, go to file --> export --> export movie. Make the file type windows avi, and save the file. Then you will upload the file to your youtube account, and link the file in the forum here.
You will need to:
1. Make sure the animation undergoes some sort of change.
2. Have an identifiable consistent style.
The button creation is a separate assignment. A button CAN be added to this animation if you want to combine projects, but when it's loaded to youtube as a video, the button won't work. We will deal with turning in those assignments separately.
To insert your youtube video here in the forum, click the insert video button (looks like a green piece of film). Paste the URL into the blank line that appears in the popup window.
Objectives:
Learning the basics of converting shapes to symbols and working with key frames.
Grading rubric:
6 points.
2 - Making the animation work.
2 - Creative concept. Someone who has a brief storyline will receive a higher grade than someone who just makes a ball bounce.
2 - Technical skill. Someone who uses technical skill in the drawing will receive a higher grade than someone who uses plain boxes or draws like they are in elementary school. For example, the quick button demo I did with the boxing woman (first hour) or the Jacobisaurus (5th hour) would receive no points for technical skill.
