Assignment 29: Weekly Update 5/29

Post  Admin on Fri May 29, 2015 10:03 am

Part 1. Upload new work. If it's photoshop work, upload it as a jpg, not a psd. If it's a movie file or animation, export and upload it in a compressed format (don't give me a file that requires me to open it in adobe premiere or final cut). You can upload to youtube and link it here.

Reflecting:

Part 2.Self-critique: What is working well in this week's work? What would you like to improve, or develop further?

Part 3. Identify new skills you worked on during the week. (For example, I know one student learned to rotate brushes in photoshop.)

Part 4. Identify at least one new skill will you work on/develop next week.

I also made a few a background for my YouTube, in like, five minuets worth of work. Maybe I'll make a better one. Idc.

2)
This week I finished the "Run!" animation, and uploaded most of my test videos to YouTube.

3)
This week I learned more about uploading stuff to YouTube (better late than never), I continued with bone-tool, and I worked with Mrs. Mantey on button tool.

4)
Button tool, cleaner, fuller animations, and art ideas for the upcoming final.

Have a good weekend.

Part 2.Self-critique: I'm really happy with the results I got on the first image. The shadow gave me (us) a bit of trouble, but I think it turned out well. The second image I'm a little less pleased with, but mostly because the image of Dawon was poor quality.

Part 3. Other than creating a shadow, I really didn't work on new skills.

4. I'm hoping to do the self portrait next week, and use some new Photoshop skills on it.

An album cover I'm working on.

A picture I took/color graded.
Reflecting:

Part 2.Self-critique: I like the cover but I'd like to do a little more with it. I like the photograph but I wish it was less noisy (if possible)

Part 3. I learned how to overlay gradients effectively to change the mood/grading of photos.

Part 4. I'd like to work on film stuff

Step 1:

Step 2:
Adjustment layers are working well, I found that it helped me make the small parts of the background completely black. I started by using different filters but it seemed to add lots of unwanted specs in my picture. So the adjustment layer helped me change the lights and the darks without getting the specs I saw with a filter.

Step 3:
HDR photography and adjustment layers.

Step 4:
I will work on my portfolio for my final next week. (Technically this week because this update is late).
