Make Giant Heads!
Hi, all,
I'm emailing you because you may be interested in a new project we're hosting:
Nancy Arnfield of The Parade Company has been contracted by the Macomb County Santa Parade to create two Big Heads in time for this year's parade.
Nancy will be building frames for a pilgrim and a Native American. She'll be bringing the frames in to the Anton Art Center where we'll host a series of workshops to get the heads plastered and base-painted; Nancy will then do the detail work.
This is a volunteer opportunity, but a chance to have fun and learn how to make Big Heads! Work will take place here at the center in the afternoons and early evenings (3-hour shifts) beginning in mid-October for 2-3 weeks.
High school students are welcome to participate, but they must be mature and able to follow Nancy's directions.
If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me directly. Feel free to pass this information on to others.
Thanks,
Jenny
